I'm back at training today! My son (and personal trainer) has every Wednesday off this month so I think I'm switching it up to Mondays and Fridays. We have such a good time training (with my daughter, too). I remember one of his first clients gave him the cane he used to need until he started training with my son. He helped him lose 100 pounds and he regained his mobility fully. I want that kind of stamina back! Getting there, slowly but surely.

What Branding Journey Are You On? - One of Four

There are four scenarios of branding that I can see and we'll cover the first one today.

1. Those who are building a brand from scratch with no direction.

You have to decide what it is you want to be a brand for - a niche, a product, a strategy, a service or whatever. 

Some of you are brand new to Internet marketing – soaking up information and have no clue what you want to pursue. This series isn’t about helping you find a niche. That’s a series all its own. 

What I CAN say to you about that dilemma is, do something you don’t mind working on day after day. It needs to be something where, as far as branding goes, you can share YOUR story. 

You want to be able to talk about things you feel or love about this niche. For me, for example, I wanted to teach other marketers who a.) didn’t have all the steps to get going online and b.) hated unethical scumbags – because I went through that myself! 

Know what does NOT resonate with you. I once found a little “green funeral” niche I thought could be a moneymaker because it was in the news and so new there wasn't competition. But talking about death day in and day out was depressing for me. So weed out boring or uncomfortable topics for yourself.

It doesn’t have to be something you’re already an expert in – let’s remove that insecurity right now. 

You have a blank piece of paper before you? Write down what you want to create your brand to be.

The good news for you is, you’re at foundation level right now, so you don’t have to backtrack from mistakes you made earlier. You get a clean slate right away. 

You can pursue services to others first (easiest), then affiliate marketing and then product creation (in that order, but it's not necessary).
