Govt Public Domain Course; How to Run a Social Media Marketing Agency; Contribution

I'm finally back emailing live as of today. Everything was queued up for me while I was gone. We had a wonderful trip for the most part. The flights went smooth except some poor man had a seizure in front of us that was a bit scary upon takeoff. The hotels were good. We loved Contemporary rooms best, but resort-wise, Beach Club is better. Dining was amazing. Shula's Steakhouse was incredible and I had some sort of chocolate hazelnut praline dessert in Magic Kingdom that I'd fly to Orlando for. LOL!

As for the parks, they were not slow. Masks were mandatory indoors, but we also wore ours (N95s) in tight crammed spaced outdoors after reading about people coming home with the 'rona. We felt safe but hot. Our favorite park was Epcot and least favorite Animal Kingdom. I believe I broke two of my toes on my left foot the night before we left when I was getting out of the slippery bath. My son splinted them and iced them when we got home. We did lots of shopping, eating and riding of rides and we can't wait to go back in late December.

Here's what I have for you today and tomorrow's email should go out at 9 AM EST...

Federal Green: Make Money with US Government Content

Amy Harrop has partnered up with a guy I don't know named Daniel Hall. He's teaching an in-depth training about how to take government-produced content that's public domain and turn it into profits.

I haven't taken the course, but the details I saw were speaking about how government content is usually high quality expert advice in niches like fitness or weight loss, finances, self-defense, travel and more.

I saw some funny examples - aside from books being published, there were t-shirts and flip flops and a lot more. So many neat uses.

How to Run a Social Media Marketing Agency

Alessandro Zamboni launched a new course today called SMMA - Social Media Marketing Agency, which he says is a newbie-friendly business model where you don't need anything special (even a website) to do it. It can also be outsourced.

Having just gotten back, I didn't have a chance to go through it but I wanted to let y'all know it's out there since many of you love his over-the-shoulder courses.

He always does step-by-step tutorials. In this course, he teaches: He also has two built in bonuses for you - including a Tik Tok Marketing Guide and a SnapChat Marketing Guide.

Speaking of, one YouTuber I watched said his views are tanking on YouTube as everyone is moving over to Tik Tok. I have to admit, I love it way more than YT.

Contribution

Just as you want to be rewarded for helping others, your audience does too. You can probably think of a time when you offered insight on a blog in the comments section and someone thanked you or commented about how helpful you were.

How can you engage your audience to become contributors so they can meet this one basic human need?

Well you have to allow your space to be a conduit between them and your own audience. Now obviously, you don’t open the door to anyone you don’t feel is trustworthy in guiding your audience. You protect your readers at all costs.

Many marketers I see are too stingy to allow others to contribute to the message. They want to be the SOLE leader – not share the spotlight. To ME, this is what separates a good marketer from a GREAT one. The great ones are confident enough in their own strengths to allow others to show theirs off, too.

Here are some things you can do to allow trustworthy participants to contribute and feel good about themselves for the day:

Refer them to each other.

As you get to know your readers, you might know one person who is very good at one skill and you’ll encounter another person who lacks knowledge or success with that same skill.

You can introduce the two via email. You don’t have to be greedy. Let’s take a for instance. I’m in the Internet Marketing niche. So let’s say I see a comment on my blog about solo emails. Now I know what they are, but it’s not my focus.

However, I may know someone who does focus on solo email traffic. Perhaps I can introduce the reader to that person and let them take over the reins for this topic – let them be a contributor.

Ask for help on behalf of someone.

I would have no problem letting my list or blog readers know that one of their fellow readers is stuck on something. For instance, there are many times someone asks me something on my blog and I say, “I have no clue – does anyone else here know?”

I invite others to be contributors when they may have lurked before and not jumped in to help. People like to reach out to others. Most of the time, they’re just too shy.

Let someone you admire be a guest blogger.

I have to admit I’m very finicky about guest bloggers. I still have only allowed one person to do it. I would allow Craig Desorcy or Arun Chandran any day of the week – but that’s not their focus.

But this is a good thing to do. Find someone who is a really good leader within your niche and find out if they want to be a guest blogger.

It doesn’t have to be a leader in the niche – it can be someone who comments on your blog who happened to answer one of your readers’ questions. Was their insight helpful? Why not ask them if they’d want to do a blog post on the topic?

Feature someone in your blog or other networks.

If you see someone doing something unique and amazing, share the story if they're okay with it.

See this doesn’t TAKE AWAY from you. It enhances the reason people follow you – because you’re not afraid to share good tips that you didn’t come up with.

This task is more about changing the way you RESPECT your audience. They’re not cows for you to milk when you want money.

They’re humans.

And they need a little TLC from you to show them that you care about more than just taking their cash.

That's it for me today - hope y'all have a great rest of your day!

Tiff :)
