Published: Mon, 08/30/21

Today is my precious middle baby, Shawn's 22nd birthday. We're going to train with my oldest son first then do his birthday cake and so on. I got him a red velvet cake, and those are SO good - so I have to go pick that up after working out. I can't believe he's already 22!

So here's what I have for you today and FYI tomorrow's email will go out at 9 AM EST...

Should We Emulate Success Habits of Others?

Sometimes I see success habits lists and I wonder if they're right for everyone - or just for some people.

Habits and consistency help so much with being an entrepreneur. It not only helps you level up, but it quickens the process, too. Willpower and commitment only go so far sometimes before burnout, and if something is a built in habit, it become effortless.

Here are some typical success habits - do you do them?

1. Go to sleep and wake at the same time every day. Well, I sure don't do this! I'm all over the place, and i know it's bad for me. I sometimes go to bed at 10 PM and sometimes 4 AM. I wish I was on a better schedule, but I'm such a night owl, and I love that schedule, too.

2. Exercise for 30 minutes per day. I'm getting better about this. I may not be daily, but I am way more frequent.

3. Detox from social media. Oh no. I'm quite addicted to it. From Facebook to Tik Tok. I'm there. I DID tune out of news back in 2020, though. I don't watch any news stations whatsoever and I only see a few random headlines from others. I don't visit any major news channel sites. That was a healthy decision.

4. Set achievable goals. Now THIS I do. With almost everything. I will admit, it's disappointing when you fail to achieve something, but if you take time to look at why, it makes you feel better.

5. Create a gratitude journal. I used to journal. Nightly. But now, I just experience things and let them go. Sometimes, even FB memories are enough to make me sad about the past.

6. Network with others. Yes! I do this. But again, I've started shutting out the general public. I rarely accept new friend requests. I think these past 2-3 years have shocked me in terms of what humans are like, so I kind of went like a crab back into my shell.

7. Say no. Oh boy. I mastered this one. One of the best things I ever learned how to do. I used to just worry about not hurting someone's feelings and now I look out for myself.

8. Meditate daily. I don't meditate but I do pray every morning and night.

What are some success habits you have that you enjoy? I'll share one I don't see as often - Learn Constantly. I'm always educating myself about things, whether it's niches or strategies or whatever. I love the learning process.

That's it for me today - hope you have a great rest of your day!

Tiff ;)
