Has anyone else noticed some weird food shortages lately? Not just in stores, but at restaurants? We were picking up food from a restaurant the other day and they had no sweet potatoes, no pasta, no certain desserts - it was just weird. I hope the supply chain goes back to normal soon. I feel like with a variety of industries (like PC graphics cards), it's just limited supplies and real scarcity.

Sometimes Indifference Works Best

We hear so much about the enthusiasm we need but sometimes, really - indifference can be your friend. 

When you're indifferent to the drama unfolding around you in this industry, it helps you keep your head down and more into productivity than gossip and outrage. 

Emotions are fine when they benefit you. But when they don't - when you're drowning in rage, frustration, sadness, etc., they're like an anchor weighing you down. 

Learn how to not care as much. Not to the point it hurts you, but where it keeps you from sabotaging yourself. Take your reputation for example. You need to care enough to ensure you don't do anything wrong, but also not so much to the point where, if anyone utters a single bad word about you, you melt down and can't function. 

You'll see a lot of drama in our industry. It's best to be at peace and just avoid getting involved in it. You have a business to run!

Be indifferent to distractions, too. I think the media has built up things like "binge watching" in our minds so much that we feel like we have to hurry and devour a show or something. No, we don't. Be indifferent about when you watch it. 

Also be this way about how much work you have to do. Don't have an entitled mindset that tells you someone else should have you the secret key to success, Work for it - and be okay working for it.
