I Won't Align with Failures, Weekend Sales Reminders
Published: Sun, 10/13/19
This has been a good weekend. I bought a dog carrier and found some neat little senior and adult chihuahuas I might adopt. We leave in 5 days - ack! I'm super excited and totally nervous going on a vacation without my sons. I took baby girl to all of her homecoming events Friday and Saturday. She had so much fun and she looked amazing (I'm not biased lol):
Right now I'm just continuing to dog proof my house, since you don't know what situation a rescued adult dog comes from, and I'm working and getting things ready to run on autopilot while I'm gone. Okay so here's what I have for you today - some reminders and a lesson below:

I Don't Want to Align Myself with Failures - and Neither Should You!
This morning, I had a really good conversation with someone new to me on Facebook. He introduced himself and asked what I did, etc. Asked how he could improve his odds of success, so I went and looked at his profile. The caption under his name said: I am trying to do affiliate marketing. But still now i am big failure person.:(
The first thing I told him to do was edit it. (He hasn't yet but I hope he does). How you present yourself not only affects how others see you, but how you see yourself, and if you see yourself as a failure, it's a self fulfilling prophecy. When I told him to change it, he said, "But it's true. I am a failure."
If that's your truth, nobody can help you. A failure is someone who fails to succeed and that's the end of their story. A failure is NOT someone who failed and is still trying. THAT is a go getter - someone who has the drive and determination to figure things out.
Not only is this person (and maybe some of you) announcing to the world that they're a failure, but they're preventing future success!
What customer wants to buy from an admitted failure with a downer attitude?
What affiliate wants to promote a failure?
What vendor wants to approve a failure to promote his or her products and probably ruin their conversion rates?
You have to start, not only putting it out there that you're confident, but believe it, too. You don't have to lie and announce that you're a six or seven figure marketer. There's no need to wear a name tag stating your current position. But exude confidence and display that you're a go getter in the business world - whatever niche you're in.
If you're failing, you have to find out why. Sometimes it's that you've purchased courses based on desperation and what's "ranked high" on a bestseller list. Or what's cheap. Sometimes you haven't implemented anything. If you fail at traffic, start learning everything you can about traffic - and THAT MEANS implementing tips to see what works for you versus what doesn't.
Learn how to put your own spin on things, too. I wouldn't have gotten to six figure level JUST doing what others do. I have always taken ideas and "FrankenTiff'd it" - made it my own version.
Pick a business model that a.) looks interesting to you and b.) that you can commit to implementing. Don't pick some model that requires a lot of cash if you're broke. Pick something like like "affiliate marketing" where you can use a blog, social networking site, etc.
This particular person mentioned wanting to be a "big online marketer."
That's great and all, but don't try to run before you can walk. This is a slow building business. You have to be ready to go from $0 per day to $5 per day to $10 to $50 to $100 and so on...
That is achieved by learning and implementing and tweaking - nothing else. And there's a TON you can learn online for free. Find the right, respectable people to learn from, try their ideas fully, and tweak it to suit your style.
Tiff ;)
