I Decluttered, You're an Architect of Happiness, Copywriting 101 for Small Businesses

Published: Fri, 10/18/19

We are headed to Disney World today! I'll be lightly checking in but don't expect a reply until Tuesday morning, if you need anything. I'll be out from the time I wake up (early) until the time I go to bed late every night. But it's a quick, 3 night, 4-day trip - so not too long. Today, we'll be in Epcot doing the Food (& wine, but I don't drink) Festival and seeing the new fireworks show. My favorite pavilion is Japan. It's so unique. But they're all lovely.

A few things to let you know about today:

Tidy Up And Declutter Content Bundle (in a Success Slant)

This is so timely. When my precious dog died and I decided to rescue another one, I went through and gave my home a massive decluttering overhaul. I did it because I don't know what the new dog's behaviors will be and I didn't want it getting into anything. So I decluttered and hired a carpet cleaning company to do the rooms with carpet still in them.

I told the kids just the other day that I was amazed at how different my mindset is after decluttering everything. I went through areas that had just piled up over time. Threw out so much junk I didn't need. And every morning now, I wake up feeling more energized for some reason. I even had my son move this massive ottomon out of the living room because it just feels better having more space. Plus, I tend to pile things up on the ottomon, so this prevents me from doing that.

So Justin Popovic's PLR bundle on sale for 4 days from $77 to just $10 is a GREAT slant - and you can tweak it for stress alleviation for people who are working, dieting, dealing with health issues, and more.

Here's what all it includes:

You're an Architect of Happiness

I think I've made SMALL strides in this area, but I'm still working on it - so I wanted to share with you what I've done, learned and what I'm trying to do now. We use phrases like personal satisfaction to describe our dream life.

Usually, when we think of how we want life to be, we only think of the destination, and not the processes to get us there. If we do think of the processes, it's more in a matter of what we know we have to do

We don't really sit down like architects and design a life AND a journey that satisfies us and our personal preferences fully. There are many ways to reach a destination. So if your destination is six figure earner, there are a ton of ways that can happen.

Many business models
Many routines and hours you can work
Many different people you can network with
...and so on.

Back when my marriage was coming to and end, I got more serious about having a hand in how my life was unfolding, rather than letting everything happen TO me. I began doing this with my finances, my living space, my implementation of happy memory making, traveling, and more. I carved out how I wanted relationships to work (or not).

I decided that instead of floundering, if I needed to cut something loose (even temporarily), I would. Project, person - whatever.

Of course, I don't do this as a kneejerk reaction anymore. I'm a architect of my life, so I go through an analysis to see if my decision will have a strong foundation for my future or if it'll crack under pressure. For example, if I give up a project (or a person), am I going to regret it? Is there any benefit to NOT giving it up? Are there other options and have I tried them? Maybe less time on it/him/her, or go about it a different way.

The way I design my life now is all about bringing me joy. When I lost Honey, I was adamant (kneejerk) that I'd NEVER go through that again. But as I calmed down, I looked to see what life would be like with no dog in my life, and I didn't like it. So I analyzed my options - volunteer or adopt, 1 or 2 pets, puppy or adult, wait or get it now, etc.

I was all excited about doing a travel site. But as I started filming and researching, I found that it detracted from my enjoyment of the moment at hand. When I'm traveling (especially with my kids), I want 100% of my time and attention on them and the experience, not whether or not I'm recording details, reviews and getting pictures and videos of pertinent things for a blog. So I cut it loose. By design.

I am at a place where I don't waste any time apologizing for my choices as long as I'm doing what I truly feel is best for me.

Same for you - don't struggle with something if it's not bringing you joy or heading in the direction you believe it should be.

I wish someone would have taught me this at a young age. I spent a lot of time trying to please everyone else. In work, life, etc. I'll never let life control me again - I'm always at the helm deciding where I'm heading.

I take full responsibility and I work on gaining clarity in my decisions, not making them haphazardly.

When is the last time you approached life strategically - by design - rather than just existing on a day to day basis, trying to handle whatever is thrown your way?

Okay I'm off to have fun - enjoy your weekend!

Tiff ;)
