Lesson on Using Your PLR, Plus Happiness Through Self Care PLR
Published: Wed, 11/06/19
I don't know about you, but I'm already ready for the weekend! Last week was a blur of activity and when the cooler weather hits, I simply want to be all super cozy and holiday-ish. I tried playing some Christmas instrumental music yesterday but it had some sort of birds chirping in it and it scared Mandy so I had to turn it off. LOL!
By the way she has the cutest fur on her ears, legs and tail - sticks up like she got shocked by an electric fence or something:
Okay here's what I have for you today...
The reason I wanted to give this lesson is for a couple of reasons. First, I'm really good at slanting and I hear from many of you that it's a struggle. And second, there's SO much super cheap "launch priced" PLR that you're missing out on simply because you don't understand how it could work with your niche.
So I was going to pick any random topic from my store but then I saw that there's a new Happiness Through Self Care PLR launch bundle out and I thought that would be PERFECT to use as a topic example.
You can find that here: https://jvz7.com/c/5810/342746
Right off the bat, the way MY brain works and being in many different niches, I can instantly see this content working in many niches YOU might not have considered.
You're probably thinking of things like stress relief. And that's great - it IS perfect for that niche, of course!
But consider other niches like:
- Survival and homesteading (high pressure situations where a calm mind and physical health is imperative)
- Parenting or Relationships (you'll be a better mom, dad or partner if you're taking care of yourself)
- Health (specifics like heart disease or blood pressure or even diabetes where cortisol levels - the stress hormone - can have a negative impact)
- Sports (as a golfer, I know when I was training toward the LPGA, I was forced to engage in self care by my coach! It allowed me to relax on the course and shoot a better game)
What's FANTASTIC about this is that MOST people who buy that PLR will simply use it as is for the stress relief niche, period. Few people engage in the creativity to actually make their PLR into something even slightly different.
But you can! Just tweaking the content to be slanted for your niche alters it in a unique way. So for example, on my PLR store I have a pack about being an optimist to reduce stress. If I were in the survival niche (which I am), I could take the content and just weave some wording in about the survival mode people are in. I might easily change up the examples shown in the document.
For example, if the report said something about being an optimist in the workplace with a rude boss, I might quickly tweak that to something about being an optimist in front of your kids during a survival event so they feel empowered and capable against threats.
Another thing that's great to do is merge two niche PLR packs together. So you might have a blood pressure pack and grab the new Happiness Through Self Care pack and you can chop those up and turn them into longer blog posts, email series, or info products of your own!
If the blood pressure article is talking about not letting small inconveniences anger you, you could chop up some of the happiness and self care PLR and let them know HOW to not let those small inconveniences get to them.
The reverse is also true. Maybe you have a self help site. If you see a blood pressure pack being released, grab THAT and let them know the warning against NOT maintaining happiness in life - their BP might skyrocket, etc.
Another thing I like to do is use keyword tools. So I might open my tool up and type in the two topics. So if I have a golf site, I might try:
- self care golf
- happiness golf
So just play around with it a bit whenever you see a good deal on something. Especially providers who you know write well or whose stuff is affordable in your budget, etc. Getting your hands on that new PLR and tweaking it to fit your niche takes a big load off of you!

By the way, someone left a voice call on my podcast for the free series. They wanted to know where you go to find the editors, etc. for your Kindle creations. I do recommend Upwork but really, word of mouth even more so.
Networking is so important, so when you're chatting with fellow authors, you get a clear picture of which editors do a good job and which ones you should avoid.
Tiff ;)
