🎄 Merry Christmas, Y'all! 🎄

We had a lovely time yesterday, which is when my family all comes to my house and we have the big dinner, open "elf gifts" and my son and daughter in law open all of their gifts because they make the rounds on Christmas day (I always like having everyone here Christmas Eve).
We took some pictures first and then ate dinner, played games and had the most delicious cup of authentic Mexican hot chocolate my son's girlfriend made for us - SO yummy.Â
It was the best Christmas Eve ever. Pure love and laughter. Zero stress. Here's a picture of me and my babies (with my daughter in law and my other son's girlfriend):
I had to put Delilah in a separate room for a little bit. The new faces, decor, sounds, etc. made her bark a high shrill bark over and over again. She is a hat hater, too - and we were all wearing Santa hats part of the time. So for her sanity (and ours), I put her in a quiet room until all the commotion calmed down and then she was happier to come out.Â
Today, we'll wake up and myself, Shawn, Scarlett and my son's girlfriend, who stayed with us because her family lives 8 hours away and we didn't want her to be alone Christmas morning, will open our gifts. Along with the baby doggies and kitty cats, too!Â
We'll just be relaxing the rest of the day. Enjoying the gifts and eating leftovers. So calm and enjoyable. It's a "stay in your pajamas" kind of day, and I love my new Vera Wang purple and black PJs the "elves" brought me this year. Her pajamas are so luxurious and she actually makes short sleeve ones, which are so hard to find! I'm one of those people who can't stand sleeves. LOL
So I hope you and yours have had a very Merry Christmas.Â
A New Year and a New Decade are coming up. I'm going to have to deliver a major butt kick, but not today.Â
Today we just enjoy life, right?
