Audiobooks Empire, Part 4 of an Aff Biz Plan & More!

I took Mandy and Delilah (my rescue doggies) to the groomer to get their nails trimmed yesterday and they cut one of Delilah's nails too short. Broke my heart. The poor things were whimpering in their carriages on the way and I just wished I could speak doggie to let them know I wasn't returning them. But you can bet I spoiled them with lots of love and treats afterwards.  :)

I'm planning my garden today but boy there's a lot I didn't realize I didn't know. My dad knew it, but I forgot it all - so when I read instructions I'm like, "What's a peat pot? What's hilling? Huh?" I have to Google everything but it's kinda fun! I'm starting with watermelons along my fence line. 

Audiobooks Empire

This is something, with my Texas twang, I haven't done yet. (Honestly I didn't know until recently that I don't even have to record it myself). I thought outsourcing was expensive. But it doesn't have to be. I've done a podcast, but not an audiobook. Yet. But it's lucrative and I'm a consumer of both non fiction and fiction audiobooks. 

I LOVE listening while I'm driving, doing dishes, or laundry or in the bath. For me, it's really a time issue these days. I don't have time to sit and read but I have time to listen because I can multitask. 

Many on my list really enjoy Alessandro Zamboni's courses and he's teamed up with someone this time to do an Audiobooks Empire course. 

In it, they teach:

- How to publish your book to ACX step by step.
- Best practices for your audiobooks.
- How to find a good narrator for cheap.
- Discover the best website to get narrators if you are a foreigner (and you don’t live in the US).

Creating an Affiliate Marketing Business Plan - Part 4

We're continuing on with part 4 of the plan to start an affiliate marketing business. The fourth step is to:

Build an Affiliate Base to Promote From

Now you could just use social media, and some people do that. But I suggest you build some sort of hub to work from. You can blog and then share those posts ON your social media. You can post videos on YouTube and then embed them on your blog, etc. 

It's really easy!

Step 1: Register a domain

Don't be vague or too cutesy about it. Be specific, like lawn care tips or blender reviews. Get a dot com domain. Look up "dot com GoDaddy coupons" on Google and get it for $0.99.

Step 2: Get hosting

I use Hostgator for my simple domains like this, but you can use any good hosting company. It shouldn't cost over $10 a month.

Step 3: Install WordPress

This takes under 60 seconds and it's easy to do. If you've never done it look up a video on YouTube and follow along step-by-step.

Step 4: Set up sidebar, banner ads, and other promotional areas

Keep everything simple. Don't overcomplicate things on your blog. Too many newbies start overwhelming themselves with tiny technical options and they stall out on great, quality content. People want information. 

Detox Journey

Day 11 is done finally - home stretch! This is where I switch to 2 shakes a day and 1 meal instead of 1 shake and 2 meals. I LOVE it.
