It's my first day OFF the detox and I feel wonderful. I'll be making a video about it this weekend. I highly suggest you try a detox of some sort if you've always had strong cravings or low willpower.

First a quick FYI - for those who love the domaining topic, I haven't dug into this but Gene Pimentel joined forces with Michael Neal and somebody named Dan Nickerson for a new domaining tool called MetaDomainer. It's a WordPress plugin.

It looks really cool! Check out the landing page demo video - these are 3-4 second landing pages that look very professional. They have 2 videos on the sales page that show how it works.

Creating an Affiliate Marketing Business Plan - Part 7

We're continuing on with part 7 of the plan to start an affiliate marketing business. The seventh step is to:

Create the Kind of Affiliate Content That Converts

This is always a problem for some people. You certainly CAN have a cold, sterile site that lacks personality but I don't suggest it. People respond better to a real person's recommendation. So make sure you personalize the content. Don't just scrap specs about the product off a sales letter and slap it into a blog post. Blech! They can read that themselves. 

I always include personalization about how a feature affects my life. For instance, my lawn mower is super quiet, so it won't disturb my neighbors. That's important because I abhor people who mow at 6 AM on a Saturday. 

Consider doing a real implementation and review of the product if applicable. You can do something over time to see how it changes you or do a quick review where you use something. These are great indicators that you're being honest about your admiration and recommendation of a product. 

You might want to make a comparison between one product and a competitor product. Kind of a compare and contrast scenario. This product has this, but the other product lacks it. And why is that good or bad? Sometimes it helps consumers to see the comparison when making a buying decision. 

Add tips on how to make the most of their purchase. For instance, I just bought that cast iron frying pan and I couldn't love it more if I tried. So I would add tips on caring for it. Cleaning it properly, and then rubbing a light layer of olive oil all over it to prevent rusting.
