Biggest Differences Between Affiliate Marketing and Info Product Creator
There are some important differences between being an affiliate and an info product creator that could determine which route you want to take.First is the money required for starting your business branch. It CAN cost nothing up front either way. There are ways to do everything yourself and use free platforms (social media, list builders, etc.) if you want to do that. OR, you could pay some money for things like sales pages, outsourced bonus creation, etc.
Another difference is what you put in - in terms of efforts to brand yourself. As a product creator, you probably spend more time and effort branding yourself as an expert, whereas an affiliate can play it safe in middleman territory.
Profit potential is also something that varies. It's unlimited for both affiliates and vendors, but it's quicker for affiliates because you don't have to take time to create and market your own product. You hit the ground running.
The knowledge required to make a sale is less for an affiliate than the expert behind their own info product.
And niche expansion is another thing that differs. You can always go broad both as an affiliate or vendor, but the affiliate can quickly branch out, whereas a vendor has to take time to create new products for each topic. You might want (or need) a pen name to cross over into different niche markets, but it's not required.
