Passion to Profits PLR; Newbie Niche Overview Requests and Mistakes!

Published: Thu, 03/12/20

Well things are getting serious around here. My son's college is extending Spring Break by a week and then switching to online online classes, so no more classrooms for him. I'm awaiting word from Scarlett's school but it looks like they'll be following in the footsteps of the local colleges. My son's gym was empty today during peak hours. And I just ordered more online groceries. No going inside for me. LOL!

I'm spending my day mowing the front and back lawn because we're about to have 7-14 days of rain. Can't let it get out of control!

Biggest Affiliate Mistakes

Some affiliates make huge mistakes when they get started with this business branch. The first is jumping right into paid advertising when they know nothing about it and it's not necessary. You can use social networking first. Don't lose money paying for ads when you haven't mastered the concept yet.

Another mistake they make is in focusing specifically on trends and fads instead of evergreen niches. You can get into an evergreen that includes trends and fads, but if you only build a site around that, and it fizzles, you'll be left with nothing.

Some affiliates make the mistake of promoting shoddy products. This ruins your reputation and then you're considered a scummy marketer, even if you only promoted the product and didn't create it.

Don't make the mistake of not building a list as an affiliate. While it's not viable for every niche (like toys), you should try to build a list so that your communication with your audience and site visitors isn't a one time event. You want to have a way to guide your people for the long term.

Don't make the mistake f misleading your audience. If you just recommend something you know is bad so you can win a prize or earn a commission, that's bad business and a formula for disaster.

Make sure you always try to connect your promotions to newsworthy stories if applicable. Breaking news is helpful in getting you traffic and getting your audience to see that you're a cutting edge leader and informed.

Don't make the mistake of relying on copy and paste content from a vendor. Make the swipe files your own if you use them. Some things are okay, like product specifics, but if twenty affiliates email the exact same swipe file, it doesn't show that you care much about your people.

Don't forget Dennis Becker and Barb Ling have their new Gumroad guide on sale right now. Perfect for those without their own site who want to sell digital OR tangible items. They can also pay you direct to your bank account. And no PayPal is required! It's under $12 now here:
