This Is Great for Selling w/Out a Site, Going from Affiliate to Vendor & More!
Published: Tue, 03/10/20
Went to the store yesterday and like many places, there was a run on toilet paper, cleaners, rice, pasta and more. I've never seen shelves wiped out like that! I came home and made my kids' favorite meal for them - enchiladas.
The weather here is just amazing lately. It's the perfect temperature and sunny. We're supposed to get some more showers soon, though.
So here's what I have for you today:
Sell without a Site - 101 Ways to Profit from Gumroad
This is really neat. I'd never heard of this until Dennis Becker sent me a notice about his new product for under $9 with Barb Ling called 101+ Ways to Profit from Gumroad but once I started digging into their guide I knew it'd be something many of you would like. You can apparently sell both digital and tangible products there, do pre-sells and memberships and more! You can also build a following there, too. I also like the "allow customers to pay what they want' feature. I did a test run with that concept on Warrior Forum years ago and got much more than what I would have priced things at.
You can limit the number of items sold and add discount coupons, too.
Going through the guide, I like how it has step-by-step screen shots to walk you through everything.
And they share many different niche ideas for selling there. If you're a writer, editor, crafts person, into software, designs, fiction, non fiction - you name it. There's something for everyone. There have been a lot of big names who put their stuff there - from Eminem to Garth Brooks and John Green (author of The Fault in Our Stars) and Tim Ferriss (4 Hour Work Week), and more.
Another thing I love - you can get your payouts direct deposited into your bank every Friday!
AND you can also set it up to have affiliates promote for you there.
This is PERFECT for those of you who don't have your own site yet but want to start selling things and have affiliates, and be able to build a list.
Check it out during their sale - it was under $9 when I checked for the entire course here:

Going from Affiliate to Vendor
There will come a time when you want to stop affiliate marketing and move on to the vendor side of things. Some people may not, but the profit potential is huge when you have an army of affiliates out there sending sales your way. You'll be able to use what you learned as an affiliate to position yourself better as a vendor. You'll know what gaps in the marketplace there are. For example, maybe you, as an affiliate, kept looking for a specific drilled down slant in your niche and couldn't find one - so that could be your first info product.
You'll also know what's lacking in terms of the media format people want. Maybe all that's out there is text-based guides and you see a need for a video course or podcast series. Maybe even a recurring membership might do well!
You'll be able to set your business up on whatever platform works best for you. You might even know from your affiliate days which sites housed the best products for your niche. Was it ClickBank? JVZoo? Warrior Plus? Udemy?
As a vendor, you'll be spending a large portion of your time promoting your affiliate program, not just your info product. You'll want to create tools for your affiliates to use - swipes, banners, bonuses and more. You'll want to seek out affiliates for JV partnerships so your launches make a splash.
