Best Way to Embed and Stream Audio on Your Blog

Wow I slept in late today! I've been awake since right before noon, but I stayed up watching The Joker - what a depressing movie. Good, but depressing. Wish I'd watched something comical instead. It's a gorgeous day here in North Texas. Bright and sunny.

I made my kids a homemade spaghetti sauce last night and it was amazing. Today I saw 2 FB memories pop up: One where I complained about having to grocery shop, which I'll never do again - there's something to be said for strolling the aisles leisurely or on a whim. The second was 9 years ago when I refused to let Scarlett buy hand sanitizer for her friend for her b-day present in kindergarten (apparently it's what all the kids gave each other, so I goofed). LOL! Guess they could see something we couldn't.

Anyway, today I wanted to share a tip with you...

Someone asked me (after my email about using multimedia on your blog) what the best way was to stream and embed audio files on your blog.

I do it two ways.

The first, if the file is short enough, I record it on my iPhone and then email it to my PC. From my PC, I just use the upload file option on my blog and it plays from there.

The second is to use a podcast platform - like the free one at Anchor.fm - that's what I use. Then you can upload your podcast there, they'll share it everywhere for you on other platforms, and if you want to embed an episode in your blog, you just copy the embed code and paste it into the HTML block on your WordPress blog.

Super simple and it allows people to listen to your blog post while they do other things - household chores, commuting, gardening, exercise, etc.

Okay that's it for today - here for you if you need me!

Tiff ;)

P.S. Prefer a weekly digest?
