Easy Targeted Paperback Kids Books, & a Lesson on Blog Calendars

Yesterday I tried sending y'all this picture but it didn't show up. Let's see if it does this time (if not, sorry LOL):

Scarlett and I have been working a LOT during this lockdown. We're actually thriving on stuff like goals - maybe because she's sick of social media and we have tons of extra time, but not only do we have our launch coming up on Tuesday, but we worked together to outline an entire kid's book series! We had a lot of fun doing it and she's great at graphics so she's going to illustrate it.

What have you been up to during this time? Working on anything special?

Okay here's what I have for you today:

Children's Printable Empire

Alessandro Zamboni (along with  Andreas Quintana) is back with another of his amazing over the shoulder courses. This one is GREAT for right now with all the homeschooling going on around the country, but regardless of that, parents (and teachers) are always looking for this kind of stuff - for the classroom, for traveling, for "non screen time," etc.

In this course, called Children's Printable Empire, he's teaching you how to create 7 different types of printable game books for kids in minutes. This would be done on Etsy or Amazon, etc. Or even straight from your site!

The video course covers: Check it out during launch week when it's only $17 here:

How to Use a Blog Editorial Calendar

Many people didn't know you could have an editorial calendar built right into your blog's dashboard.

This is great for arranging your posts, making sure a series is scheduled right, writing things ahead of time and queuing them up to go live for you on autopilot.

So here's how you do it:
  1. Log into your dashboard and click on Plugins.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Type Editorial Calendar into the search box.
  4. Install and click Activate the plugin.
  5. Then go to your Posts and click on Calendar.
Here, you'll see the monthly calendars and you can click on individual days, where you'll see something like this:

That box pops up that lets you add the title, content, date and time.

This is especially great for those of you who may have many categories and want to make sure you hit them all and aren't staying stuck in too few categories. What I mean by this is this:

Let's use one of my toy sites as an example. If my toy site has categories for: I don't want to accidentally do 8 posts for action figures and 2 artistic. I want a nice mix, right? A calendar at a glance helps you schedule things so that your site has a nice variety of content.

That's it for me today - y'all have a great rest of your day!

Tiff ;)
