Self Care: Making Yourself a Priority PLR, & What Are Your Blog Goals?
Published: Fri, 04/24/20
Happy weekend! I hope you have something fun or relaxing planned for this weekend. I think I'm going to go on an 80s movie binge this weekend. I am a HUGE John Hughes fan. SO many good movies created by him and they never get old to me. Planning to make some nachos and watch them. I like to use those flat tostada chips and put refried beans, black olives, jalapeno pepers, and colby jack on them til melted and then add a dollop of homemade guacamole to it. Yum!
I have something adorable at the bottom of this email about the doggies.
So here's what I have for you today:

What Are Your Blogging Goals
I see many people launch a blog thinking they need one online, but they don't really have any solid direction - they have no goals. It's like they're driving blind when it comes to their online business. You want to think all of this through so that you grow your brand on your blog over time.
Start with branding in fact - what's your goal with it? Who are you trying to attract as followers?
What about profits? What do you want your blog to be earning this month, 6 months from now, a year from now, etc.? HOW do you want that money coming in? From affiliate sales, your own products, ads?
You need to build a following - so how will you do that? What kinds of numbers will you be expecting?
Map it out and work on tasks that help you achieve those goals. Be very specific. Don't just say "through social media." What social platform? Facebook? Groups? Pages? Profiles? Ads?
Don't be vague and don't fly by the seat of your pants. Have a plan!
Adorable Doggie
Okay so I told y'all I had something adorable about the doggies I rescued. This is about Delilah in particular. If you recall, she had been moved from shelter to shelter unadopted and when I went to try to see her, the male worked said she was too mean to take out of the cage. It wasn't until she got moved to a female-run shelter that I happened to run into her again and the woman brought her to me and she was happy, etc. I didn't even know she was the same dog until later. (They had slightly altered her name).Anyway, when we brought her home, she'd bark at my sons not wanting them to come near her. (She had been a street dog in a homeless downtown area, so I don't know how she was treated). They patiently sat in the room with her, brought her treats and talked kind to her. Eventually, she lowered her guard and now she loves them.
This is Delilah today - whenever she sits on Shawn's lap, she snuggles her head into his chest and tucks her nose into his shirt before falling asleep. Melt my heart!
