Buying and Loved This, Add 100 Subs in 30 Days, & What You Should Never Email
Published: Wed, 05/13/20
I forgot to share a great tip with y'all that one of my subscribers relayed to me after my email went out with the video I made for y'all about checking to make sure you're not engaging with crafty spam on your blog. One reader had a great idea I've also done, but forgot to add. If you're unsure if something is spam, copy and paste it into Google. Nine times out of ten, if it is, it'll come back with tons of identical results, showing you that they're planting these seeds all across the web.
Journals and Printables Course Relaunch (Buying It Myself and Went Through Review Access!)
I emailed out earlier this week about a cool course I went through that discusses how to get repeat business and more traffic to all your low content offers.Well one of my subscribers (thanks, Michelle!) sent me info on a great "go at your own pace" course that constantly stays updated, is enormous - and teaches this stuff in depth - from the creation, publishing and marketing standpoint. I'm actually buying this course for my daughter in law, after I got review access and loved what I saw.
This course (discount code below) is for journals and other types of printables and it's by Sue Fleckenstein. It includes a PDF and the video course. I started with the basic overview and practice of using PowerPoint for this purpose.
Module 2 of her course was AMAZING! It has all sorts of tips and tricks for creating these journals. One thing I loved is that she gives you templates to use with her as she teaches you, so you get that hands on practice as you watch over the shoulder training. This is how I learn best.
The videos aren't long, drawn out hours long videos. They're focused on specific elements. For examples, she shows you how to work with margins separately from design choices. Some people mix it all together and by the time you finish watching, you're lost.
She taught this VERY well.
After you learn the HOW part, she teaches you the selling part - and has several different platforms for you to learn about. She ALSO teaches you how to sell directly from your own website if you wish to incorporate this element into your own niche.
She has a section on the marketing aspect, which goes nicely with Amy's course on that topic. And she delves into some in depth, advanced training for using PowerPoint for these creations, once you're ready for that.
She also takes you through the entire publishing process on different platforms, so you're not just told where to go, but not have the knowledge of how to do it. I also liked her fillable PDFs option! So many people are needing digital versions of this stuff, and it was perfect. I'd love to have this for my gardening efforts and survival/homesteading stuff.
There's SO much to this course. My friend told me she's constantly adding to it and keeping it updated, so that's fantastic! It's her signature course - so she takes special care in making it current and comprehensive.
I was very impressed and am going to implement what I've been learning, in addition to buying it for my daughter in law. I think there are about 73 lessons inside the membership (including a bonus).
If you want to really excel with this business branch, I highly recommend it.
When I asked Sue about buying it for my daughter in law, she told me there's a special discount code that lasts until May 15th at noon EST.

Never Email Just to Hear Yourself Talk
I've had people ask me all worried about whether or not their message was something viable to be sent out - did it have enough purpose, in other words. The key is, always be serving your audience. Whether that's with a tip, or even a good recommendation. It's okay to look for topics on what to talk about. But if you can't find something, it's okay to hold off a day or two until there is something relevant to talk about.
Emailing bland, unimpressive content will result in unsubscribes. So if you email out, you want to be helping your readers or making things interesting for them.
If you don't have anything impactful to say, find something newsworthy or timely to discuss. Use Google, forums and social media sites to give you ideas - and even keyword tools!
If you feel you've run out of ideas, create a survey on SurveyMonkey.com to find out what your list needs from you. Download the results and tap into it whenever you need it.
That's it for me today - have a great rest of your day!
Tiff ;)
