Beware of This, Added Bonus, Weekend Bonus Special, Fear Of Regret
Published: Sat, 07/25/20
Today I want you to beware of something that stinks. This is for those of you who seek affirmation of your idea or who share ideas in groups. There are a lot of people (sometimes bigger names who you wouldn't think would do this) who are just waiting for you to post asking if anyone would be interested in something - so that THEY can take the idea and share it with their own followers and get all the credit.
This happened this week and it really irritated me. Some person shared an idea trying to help members and one girl said "You should turn this into a course." Several of us chimed in with affirmation that we would promote such a course because it was a great idea. So what happened? One of the people who said he'd promote it then made a post on his FB trying to be some hero giving the great course idea away.
I mean, what a jerk, right? But that's what happens when you share openly. I mentioned it on his post and I'm unfriending him mainly because I'll tend to forget what all people have done, and I want to make sure I never align myself with him in the future.
A better way for you to work is to quietly analyze possibilities, decide to take a risk and launch to see if something will work. Stake claim to a course idea by posting your launch date on Muncheye w/a JV page and THEN tell everyone. Don't just ask because someone will either steal it and launch before you OR, do what this guy did and steal the idea and share it like some wanna be do gooder. Don't even private message people and ask unless you KNOW 100% you can trust them. Because even seemingly good people act selfishly sometimes, like this guy did. No clue why he did it, other than to see all the people chiming in "thanks" and "good idea," etc. 🙄
Okay - if you're in my Createful Journals review implementation, I'll be posting lesson 50 later today. (If you still want to join, make sure you use coupon code: TIFFSAVES30 at checkout).

Is Fear Of Regret Stopping You From Chasing Your Dreams
Fear is one of the most powerful words in the English language. It has ruled minds since the dawn of time, it has caused countries to go to war, and it has plagued households for as long as we can remember. It has its place in our minds due to an evolutionary need for survival. It was fear that kept us hidden safely away at night, when strange and dangerous creatures came out to roam the earth. The fear of falling to our death, keeps us away from cliff edges and unstable bridges. It even keeps us alert and awake when we are in a situation where falling asleep could be deadly. It definitely has its place in our life.
However, fear is something that can restrict people from fully living their lives, too. I know it does in mine.
It can torture the minds of humans to the point of never even trying in the first place. The fear of regret is closely linked to the fear of failure. One of the biggest limitations to the human spirit is regret. People feel terrible about the things they’ve done wrong in the past, the mistakes that they’ve made, and this can cause them to never try new things, or never venture out into the unknown areas of life.
They are so terrified of feeling regret that they allow themselves to be boxed into their comfort zones, never to step a single foot outside. One of the biggest links to this kind of regret is failure. People look back over their lives and see all the times they failed, and they feel instant regret, enough to put them off from ever trying to be so adventurous again. If only they could realize that failure is an essential part of learning, they might not feel so much regret. In fact, they might even appreciate the fact they worked so hard, failed so many times and never gave up.
It’s a terrible thought, to live a life without ever having chased your dreams. We all have dreams - each one of us at some point dreamed of the wonderful future that we would live, our dream job, our dream husband or wife, our dream home, or our dream car. If we are afraid to fail, because we think we will regret it, that’s enough to keep our dreams from ever becoming a part of our reality.
Honestly, this is a truly isolating and terrible place to find ourselves. It’s very important that we learn to change our outlook on failure and regret, so that we can get back some of that wonder we used to have. We have to begin to let that curiosity of the potential possibilities for our life creep back in. Without it, we face a despairing end. With it though, the light of the entire universe can shine through our minds and give life to the dreams that we hold within.
Don’t let fear of regret hold you back. Reflect on the things that you did, that you now regret, and look for the essential life lessons that are hidden deeply within them. If you can do this, you will realize there is no need for regret, there is only a need to recognize that sometimes we make mistakes.
However, if we learn from those mistakes, they aren't really mistakes, but a naturally occurring process called trial and error, a process that can be found in nature itself, in evolution. That's what it means to live without fear of regret. It means to be open to change, open to evolution, so that our life can move forward like the flowing river it is.
Don’t be afraid to explore, adore, and fail miserably at life.
As long as you're learning, and growing, and becoming more than you were yesterday, you're on track.
Okay that's it for me today - have a great rest of your day!
