Know the Difference Between Poor PLR and Good Content

There's tons of PLR out there that you can buy for many reasons - your blog posts, emails, to use as products you sell, etc. Probably too many PLR products, consider some are so horrible they should never be used.

It's a great way to make money online, selling PLR - so lots of people give it a shot, even if they shouldn't. There are many great writers, and tons of PLR, so learn how to shop smart and you'll be okay.

#1 - Know What's Good Content and What's Just Fluff.

Good PLR will have been written after research was conducted and that will show in the writing. You can really tell when someone is trying hard to beef up the word count with fluff and filler. It reminds me of this when I see it:

One thing I noticed is that my eBooks I release are 100% text based. But some use synonyms like above or larger fonts, double spacing, etc. - all tricks used by several PLR sellers to make their content look bigger than it actually is.

#2 - Know Your Sellers!

Some people take pride in their work and some don't. Some scrape people's websites and package it up illegally and unethically as content to sell as their own, while some write from scratch. Some scam people and get outed, only to come back under a new name in hopes they can scam you again!

The MOST crucial component when purchasing PLR is that the writing has to be good and they have to have the rights to sell it. Nothing else matters. Your business begins and ends with the quality of content you publish.

It's just just with text, either. If you’re using PLR videos, then ensure that the videos are worth watching and sound great.

#3 - Price Doesn't Equal Quality.

I ave to laugh at some people releasing "premium" quality when their content really is nothing even CLOSE to quality. I've refused to promote some HUGE money making vendors because the content wasn't good at all, yet it was billed as the best PLR you've ever seen. I just laughed. Let others promote it. They know they'll get away with it because 90% of PLR buyers never even open it and when they do, they'll forget who they bought it from anyway.

Just because a PLR bundle costs more, it doesn’t mean the content is better. At the same time, a less expensive PLR bundle doesn’t mean you got a bad deal.

In the PLR market, pricing is just a form of positioning. Charging higher may make it appear like the content is more exclusive and better – yet, it could be shoddy content. Sometimes PLR bundles are sold at a launch discount. So, you may be able to purchase the product for $17, but once the launch is over, the price rises to $47 or higher.

Once again, the pricing is influenced by the timing, vendor’s preferences, etc. and is NOT a determining factor of quality.

If you truly want to know who the good PLR sellers are, it’s best to speak to a PLR vendor who you trust… or join online marketing forums/PLR Facebook groups and ask the members there.

Very often, you’ll see the same names popping up. The PLR industry is a small one and the good vendors keep being mentioned over and over. Another point to note is that just because you see a PLR product sitting at the top of the bestseller list or getting an award from the platform, that doesn’t translate to good quality.

Marketers have their own circles of affiliates and when a product is launched, several affiliates with huge lists will mail for the product and get a lot of sales. So, the product climbs the ranks regardless of its quality. Many PLR buyers are clueless and will buy the product without doing their due diligence.

The platform seeing that the product is generating sales will give it an award to get an extra boost of sales because the platform gets a percentage of the sales too. Everyone wins EXCEPT YOU. You’ve got to be smarter than that. You’ve got to do your research.

There’s good PLR around. You just need to find it.

That's it for me today - y'all have a great rest of your day!

Tiff ;)
