Authentic Connections

I love true, authentic networking. Not the spammy kind where people try to manipulate others into working with them. I'm talking about genuine friendships.

I think they drive me to succeed in certain things more than any course does. When a friend reaches out to support or motivate you, or YOU feel comfortable reaching out to THEM whenever you need the help, it's a beautiful thing.

This week, I've had several friends who felt nervous or confused who reached out to me. I was able to bolster their determination, reinforce their confidence and answer questions they were second guessing themselves about.

And I had another friend who checked in with me to kick my butt about my fiction. This isn't her problem, but she knows it's MINE, and she wanted to push me (she knows I need it) to the finish line with my goals.

Those types of connections aren't something you can buy. You can't reciprocate for them. They're just real and they're born out of the good hearts of people who just want to see others succeed.

If you're not enjoying these kinds of connections in this business, ask yourself why. Open yourself up to them and start seeking them out.
