We had a fun day yesterday. I started off going to a place called Cake-a-holics (they won some sort of Food Network cake contest so I just wanted to see what they were like since they're just a few miles from me). I got a teeny chocolate mousse egg and it was delicious. 

But then after we came home, I got in one of those "I can't stand my office decor" moods - you know the ones, right? Next thing I knew I was off buying a new chair - this time I got a dual power recliner so I can put my legs up and write. I was disappointed because every one I chose they said no stock until the end of November, so there was ONE in stock that I bought. It's comfy. Also bought a new desk and hutch. All delivered this Monday and Tuesday - yay! It'll make me feel SUPER productive...for about a week. Ha ha!

Several Ways to Monetize Your PLR

When you buy PLR, you can do SO much more than just slap it up on your blog. Sadly, that's what most people do - if they even use it at all. Start being strategic in how you profit from it. That's the whole goal - to position yourself as a valued leader and make money from it. 

Experienced PLR buyers know how to get maximum mileage from their PLR articles by using them in a myriad of ways other than the most obvious way - to generate more traffic, leads and sales.

1. Turn Them Into Info Products!

If you hope to sell a book but you don’t want to write one, combining several different PLR articles and reports is one way to put together an eBook quickly. Generally, a good book will be around 10,000 to 20,000 words.

Since most PLR articles will be in the 400 to 500-word range, you may need to combine many articles or mix them with a short report to create a full book that will serve as your info product that you sell.

Make sure you don't just randomly stick a bunch of content together - it needs to read logically. 

2. Leverage Other People's Traffic to Build a Buyer List.

Guest blog posts are a method of traffic generation. Basically, you’ll approach popular blogs/sites in your niche and ask the site owners if they’ll publish an article or two from you. In return, all you’ll want is a link back to your site.

It will allow you to enjoy some traffic from the popular site to your own site. This is an effective method that will reap results the more often you do it. Your efforts will snowball over time.

Do a line edit rewrite on the PLR article and put it in your own words so it really represents your style before you submit it to them. 

3. Break Big PLR Down Into Lead Magnets and Linked Blog Posts

Sometimes you get a report or eBook and you can break down the subheadings into short reports or blog posts and hyperlink out to products in those. You can also use them as an email series or even a paid drip-fed course or membership area. 

4. Monetize Your Blog Posts!

Monetized blog posts are posts that contain links to products the readers can buy or they may contain advertising. There are opportunities for you to make money from the post. That’s the key point.

Copying and pasting a PLR article on your blog is well and good, but what’s the purpose of it? Information? Sales? A monetized blog post can be a PLR article that's been posted with the intention of making sales. Insert links to affiliate products or products you’re selling. Even posts which are not monetized should have internal links on them which link to other posts that are monetized. This makes your site ‘sticky. It keeps visitors on your site longer and increases your chances of making a sale.

PLR is NOT just a piece of content to post on your blog. It’s a tool that can generate traffic and sales for you too. So, put your PLR articles to use effectively and you’ll be amazed at how effective they are.
