#3 - Squidoo Discussion
People have asked me (since Squidoo closed down yesterday), what
they should do for backlinks now. My honest advice?
Nothing.
Instead, I highly recommend you take the following approach:
- Create a highly personalized, opinionated blog (opinions
don't have to be confrontational)
- Blog every day.
- Socialize your site. That means on FaceBook, G+, Twitter,
YouTube and more (forums). And it doesn't mean just waiting for
people to come to YOU - it means YOU participating elsewhere
I don't DO backlinks. I haven't worried about backlinks in
YEARS. When you focus on creating quality content and immersing
yourself into the community for your niche, your links get shared
automatically. They're natural, and they work long-term.
Might not be what you wanted to hear, but that's what I firmly
believe in.
