I'm a Retargeting Victim, Testing the Marketing Life Without Warrior Forum

Published: Sat, 09/27/14

Hi !

I had a great day today so far. Took my sons out to lunch and
we're about to make some fondue (chocolate, of course) after
dinner tonight. Also grabbed us some tickets to the cheesy Medieval
Times show here in Dallas for next week. Should be fun!

Here's what I have for you today:

#1 - I'm a Retargeting Victim

Have you ever been on a website and checked something out and later
that day (and afterwards), you see ads tailored to exactly what you
were looking at? That's called retargeting.

It's so sneaky - and you probably think it irritates you. It
has me before. But I'm also a victim of it WORKING. Ugh! Here I
am on a site, on a whim, checking something out (like Great Wolf
Lodge the other day). And suddenly the ads are everywhere. Not two
days later, after repeatedly seeing it (and clicking the ad and
deciding against it), I'd booked another 2 night / 3 day stay
for us. And we JUST went last MONTH! Now we're going again.

This has happened to me many times. Now if I stumble on something I
don't want, I find the ads annoying. But if it was something I
was barely considering, I freaking need a lock on my wallet because
I'll cave! It's some sort of subliminal conversion hack
I'm convinced. LOL!

It's often on my Facebook wall, which is conveniently where I
am a lot of the time. Dr. Pareek released a popular PLR product
that everyone's talking about right now and I checked it out
because of my victim status with that form of marketing.

The main offer that I got includes - and here are my thoughts on it:

- Training Guide - incredibly professional graphics. I wish mine
looked this good. Nice hyperlinked Table of Contents, and I love
how they have places in red to remind you where to link to upsells,
etc. This is well written with good information. It has
step-by-step details with screen shots - also professional in
appearance.
- Cheat Sheet
- Mind Map
- Top Resources Report
- Front End Sales Copy (because it has PLR rights to it)
- Front end professional minisite
- Front end sales video
- Swipe emails for affiliates
- Animated banners
- Front end graphics

This is an extremely good price, bundle and online marketing topic
- because it's something that I know works. The front end alone
is extremely low in price and complete in what you get.

The 80% discount ends tonight - I'm sure they'll raise the
price, but it'll still be a good value. Right now it's
under $10 for all that. This is a topic that, since it works ON me,
I'll be learning more about to use as a marketer.

#2 - Testing the Waters of No Warrior Forum

Behind the scenes, I've been quietly preparing for the day when
WF no longer accepts other payment systems - like JVZoo or W+.
I've been replacing the forum visibility with social networking
instead.

Not only is it THAT much more enjoyable (because it's not all
business 24/7, but it's more effective in two things:

One - allowing me to communicate and bring affiliates/JV partners
onboard - and people are sharing awesome ideas with each other -
stuff that's more casually mentioned between friends and not
necessarily posted for all to see in a forum.

Two - learn from others who are willing to share their tips. Not
only affiliates, but others, too. Glitches are taken care of fast.
Knowledge is shared. That requires getting to know individuals and
participate in groups.

I feel like a whole new (bigger and more exciting) world has been
opened up to me. And I no longer feel like I have to use WF as a
crutch. In fact, my last few launches have been on my own sales
page and not on WF as a WSO at all.

Just this last pack, my Toys R Us pack, had me personally take home
over $1,300 in 5 days - for whipping up 15 new articles and
bundling some older ones as a backend offer - all without touching
WF. And I paid out more than that to affiliates. That's over
$260 a day for me on top of what I already make on autopilot.

I have nothing against the forum. Just making sure I'm not too
reliant in any one area.

Are you preparing too, or just waiting it out? I really love social
media as a key component for fortifying sales on my own site.

Tiff ;)
