Testing a Cool Tool Inside This Email...
Published: Fri, 12/19/14
Hi !
I'm home with a sick baby girl today. But working fast and furiously to wrap up my free tutorial for you guys.
Today I wanted to tell you two things:
1. That yoga and meditation offer I emailed you about yesterday should be live later today. I was a day early in my promotion. So just check back on that when it's ready. I will also post on my Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, and G+ accounts when it's live, so if you follow me on any of those, you'll get notified.
2. I just bought this awesome tool but do NOT buy yet - let me tell you about it... because you might make a BIG mistake.
This offer expires in....
I love countdown timers.
The reason I love them is because they make ME buy faster. I saw an email go out earlier today from someone and decided to check this product out.
After watching the video, I decided to grab it and use it for myself. I wanted to test it in this email to see how it worked, but it can be used on your site as well. I just loved the email option and also they have some cool features.
For instance, if I wanted to, I could add another link to this where, if you opened this email after the sale expired, it could link you to another place, such as a page that said the sale expired, but offered you something else. I could link you to my Fan page on Facebook or anywhere.
What I love it how it all works as a plugin on a WordPress site. I can upload the plugin here and then create it and even create the HTML here and copy the code for my email autoresponder system. Now when I was watching the video, he mentioned certain styles that are in the pro version, etc.
This offer is actually a COURSE and the software is an element of the course. But I honestly ignored the course and just bought it for the software.
If you look at the buy buttons here: Motion Countdown you see that the Basic version does not include software, just the course.
So get the Pro version instead.
I think this is a great tool because I know as a seller, many people email me saying they didn't realize the sale ended when it did. They open the email, but figure they'll get back to it a bit later. When they do, it's too late. Having a timer for this kind of ending notification is a convenience for the customer and an extra sense of urgency that a seller can use.
This offer expires in just over a day, as you can see from the timer above. It's easy to use and has many colors and styles and options available.
Pretty cool! I'll be using it to help with my promotions both as a seller AND as an affiliate, which is what I did above. By the way, implementing this tool forced me to d something I don't do - HTML emails. I've always previously stayed in my comfort zone of text only. I love it when buying something on a whim makes me take action and learn a new skill.
Tiff ;)
