How to Be Likeable to Your Subscribers, Clarification on Failure, PLR Deals

Published: Wed, 01/21/15

Hi !

It’s so funny after someone’s comment on my blog post yesterday for the list building challenge, I somehow feel awkward writing this email intro – like it’s stupid to say what we’re doing for dinner or what activities I’m doing today, or what the weather is here.

And maybe it is. I’m sure you don’t care what we’re eating, how warm it is, or what Honey the Chihuahua is up to. But I email you guys like I email my real life friends – and that’s the kind of stuff we chat about. How’s your day? Good. We’re doing such-and-such today. Oh well. I’m going to keep being me and everyone can scroll on down if they feel differently :)

…and by the way, we’re eating out tonight, Tex Mex, I’m sure - it’s supposed to rain, and I’m going to visit Mom. LOL! So there.

Today I have some good stuff for you!

#1 – How to Be Likeable to Your Subscribers

This was a big one for you guys – if you’re going to be subscribed to someone, allowing them to infringe upon your email, you realllly want to like them. Likewise, you want to BE liked as a marketer leading a niche.

But some people just don’t even think anyone is going to like them. Here are a few ways to get going with that:

#2 – It’s a New Year PLR – 25 Articles

I was going to try to create an exclusive bonus for this, but looking at my schedule, I simply won’t have time (I’m finishing my free tutorial for you guys). Still, Jeannie sent me the articles – and they’re good quality, and meaty longer articles than usual PLR, so I know you’ll enjoy it.

#3 – Clarification to Yesterday’s Failure Spiel

Yesterday, I titled my blog post, “You Will Fail the List Building Challenge If You Can’t Open Up.”

Someone made a good point that no, not everyone fails when they don’t get personal – some thrive! True statement. I’ll agree. There are many people who abhor personable stuff – they’re more the “give me the goods, fast” audience – and they don’t care if you “pet your cat or ate an apple” as one person said.

Another reader pointed out that sometimes, being sterile and impersonal IS being true to yourself and being “you.” And that’s true too.

So to clarify, yes – those are valid strategies. However, it’s not what THIS list building challenge is going to teach. I teach from a heavy perspective of building relationships. Because to ME, it’s a part of the career I enjoy.

Therefore, if you want to learn list building, but NOT relationship building, you will want to learn from someone else. Hope that helps for anyone who thought I meant others fail at it. Many thrive way more than me – but I wouldn’t sterilize my emails if you paid me to ;)

Tomorrow I’ll be answering the question of how much to put in an email versus inside a blog post. As you can see from past emails, with me – it varies. But we’ll talk strategy tomorrow!

#4 - Oh! It’s the LAST DAY to get the deal Alice Seba and Melody Spier created for MY list only on email marketing!
