Checking in with Progress, Blunders and Some Easter Fun
Published: Sat, 04/04/15
Some people have been emailing me wondering where I've been the last few days, since I normally email daily.
I took my son, daughter and one of her friends to Great Wolf Lodge Thursday and so beforehand, I had to get all my work done.
Then, you know how post vacation days go - you need a vacation from your vacation! So I rested up, but that meant errands and grocery shopping.
I've been working really hard on two projects - Internet Marketing and Fiction.
Making great progress on both, but MAN the stuff I'm learning with fiction is so incredible. I love learning - it's exciting, so seeing my work improve from story #1 to story #2 is amazing, since the changes look so drastic to me.
I've been reading Creating Short Fiction by Damon Knight, and it's given me some great insight into bettering my writing.
Oh and here's a word of advice: When cleaning up your Aweber lists of unsubscribers, never multitask. I was talking to my son while cleaning my list up and I accidentally deleted the people who had signed up to the list for my pen name! ACK! The people who wanted to know when I had a new book coming out, I deleted. Ugh! I've emailed Aweber asking if they can recover it, but I won't hold my breath. Stupid mistake.
This weekend is Easter, and in the past, Easter wasn't a very fun holiday for us. We ended up "walking on eggshells" a lot, so no bumping the table or making a mess. Now, life is funner, and making messes while dying eggs is perfectly okay with this Mom.
So I asked my kids to pick one of their eggs and submit it for a contest. One of them will win a $25 Amazon gift card. They had to title their submission, too.
Here's where their eggs are, if you want to cast a vote:

I hope all of you are having a great weekend. We had Friday and this coming Monday off from school, so it was wonderful having my kids home more. And summer's just around the corner - my FAVORITE time of year - poolside, grilling out, and long summer nights.
I'll be back this week with some good business info. Would have had some this weekend, but the product I bought to review for y'all was a boring stinker, nothing new in it, so I just passed on it.
Have a good night!
Tiff ;)
