Here's Why I Email Differently...And How It Benefits Us Both
Published: Sun, 09/27/15
How's your Sunday going? I'm working on an upcoming launch for Thursday (Toy PLR), and getting the house cleaned for the upcoming week. I finally got some much needed sleep this weekend but I had to laugh when that biological study I'm part of asked me if my 8 hours and 28 minutes were enough and I said "No."
No telling what those researchers are thinking when they see that.
Anyway, I had a chat with someone and they were all concerned about emailing and list building, so I thought today, we'd discuss it briefly.
As you know, I email out ALMOST daily. And in those emails, I usually have multiple recommendations or reviews and a blog post or thoughts right inside the email.
If you notice, that's a bit different from most marketers. MOST marketers have a promo schedule and they'll say, "Oh I can't recommend that on that day because I'm emailing out for so and so..."
What happens then is their LIST subscribers miss out on some amazing discounts - earlybird sales, coupon codes, etc. All because they refuse to mention multiple things in an email.
Maybe you prefer it better that way. But I don't. As a subscriber of many other marketers, I like being informed. And sometimes, what they inform me about isn't a good fit at all. Sometimes it is. Sometimes I miss discounts because they knew about it, but withheld the info because they made a deal with someone to promote - and by promote, I mean nothing more than cut and paste a swipe file.
Kind of irritating to me as a subscriber.
If I follow someone, I want THEIR $0.02 about a tool or strategy, not the biased product creator's opinion.
I know many of you get really scared about doing it my way. And no, not everyone likes my schedule or multiple offers. But there's a reason I convert at 30-70% when I email out - and there's a reason I top leaderboards time and time again.
It's because I know my list, I ONLY choose to promote things I KNOW they need, like or want, and I never compromise my ethics to do it.
I don't think a little scanning is going to hurt anyone when an email comes in with more than 1 item to read. Not fitting for you? Scroll on. Next item might be JUST what you were looking for. Or it might be a tip I included in my email that finally solves a problem for you or motivates you.
My point is - in the words of Frank Sinatra, do it YOUR way. Your list will flock or weed themselves out.
Now, on for today's "stuff" after that little message...
1. Tools - What You Need, What You Don't
I have some people begging me to look at a whole bunch of different tools to tell them if it's what they need. I don't know what you need personally. I know what looks cool to me, what I'd be interested in trying (or am trying). But I can't guarantee it's a perfect fit for your business.
Some cool things I've found lately that look promising:
- Five Dollar Profits - it will take me awhile to get all the way through and implement with results. But here's what I CAN tell you. My ad spending has gone down from over $0.42 to just $0.20 with a higher conversion from what I've learned. I've used it for PLR launches, for affiliate promotions, and for my Kindle fiction. It's defiintely already pad for itself just in module 1 alone - I had NO idea how to do FB ads and this was incredible. I look forward to learning more AND I love Ron's teaching style. That's important to me.

- Email Click Magnet - I'm looking at this today - and this is one of those with an 11 hour discount of $10 when you use the code "save10" during checkout - so it's timely. If you land on the sales page, fast forward his video up top to the 4 minute mark and skip the blabbering to get to how it really works. The tutorial part. Pretty cool. I like the idea of adding multi media to emails - and this tool gave them some amazing (almost 40%) click throughs.

I got asked to promote yet another ecover creator this week. Nah. It's the same old, same old - and at a higher price.
Don't scramble to buy everything everyone talks about - even me! Look at it and say, "Is that something that might help my business? Am I ready to implement and learn it?" That's why I FINALLY bought a good FB course. It wasn't a $7 course, either. But I wanted depth and real results. I was finally ready.
2. Upcoming Projects
I'm doing a lot and very excited right now. I'm doing 2 implementations - working on that 30 Day Biz old one I forgot about, and the Energy one.
I'm also creating some fantastic PLR launches for this month and next. I have my toy one coming out Thursday (and I wrote a free Toy PLR Profits report I'll send y'all too, telling you about the niche). I also have a pre-release video game PLR launch coming out that will help you sell pre-release video games on Amazon. And then I have a Black Friday - Cyber Monday launch coming November 1st or the end of October.
My learning is at full throttle right now. I'm studying copywriting, launch funnels and more. Very exciting when you look forward to learning, rather than dread it. I love strategy - I hate tech stuff.
Okay I'm off to make brunch for my babies. You guys have a cozy Sunday - tomorrow's Monday and we're back to the grindstone!
Tiff ;)
