I am sick as a dog today. (Wonder where that phrase came from? Now I have to go Google – wow from the 1700s). Anyway – it’s not fun! I have flu like symptoms. But I am SO happy it’s the weekend.
That means time with my babies. And my sweet oldest today – want to hear a feel good story? He went in the gas station this morning to get a drink and saw a homeless man sleeping outside under a thin blanket with his little dog.
My son brought him warm coffee (it was chilly) and bought his dog a bag of dog food. I tell you what, in a world of self absorbed people, I sure raised a fine young man with a big heart. They make me a better person just being their Mom.

I plan to partake of the Nyquil nectar tonight and konk out so maybe my body can repair itself while I sleep. I already took Vitamin C, Claritin, and plenty of water. I have mentholatum smeared all over my nose. But I miss my Mama! She’s still in Canada and you’re never too old to have Mom make you feel better when you’re sick.
