It's a Shame Most People Don't Have the Courage to Do This

Here in Texas, we're water logged big time. My house is safely set on a slight hill, so no worries there, but I do pray my son will get home safe from homecoming events and the rain will stay away for a bit. I have to be out in it later, getting Halloween costumes and coats for the upcoming cooler weather.
Today I want to talk to you about an element of your business that many people find SO hard to do, but it's purely a mindset thing. (You falsely probably believe it's some technical glitch or some search engine love you're not getting).
It's customer repelling.
Yeah notice I didn't say list building.
That's because I could build a list of tens of thousands of people in all kinds of ways, but they wouldn't translate into the sales I want.
That comes from list building with a hefty dose of customer repelling built in.
I just bought Amanda Cravens' Lucrative Lists course here:

I bought it for myself because I love seeing what others teach about the process.
I'm a six figure marketer with what is considered a "small" list of just over 10,000 people. I remember the day I had my first person. How nerve-wracking that was!
I remember the sporadic, hateful unsubscribes over the years. I also remember hundreds of close bonds formed with subscribers - real friendships - that surpass all this marketing stuff.
Amanda aligns with my way of thinking, but she teaches it in a different way, which I enjoyed. She teaches psychographics instead of demographics, and it was a neat list building concept.
She teaches nichifying yourself. Loved this. Big problem many people are making, trying to be everything to everyone. Such worry that you'll exclude someone - miss a sale!
Well guess what? Even with my small list, compared to the 100,000 big lists many of the others have, I still perform better than 90% of them in promotional contests.
Why?
I've weeded out my non audience. I built trust. I did some of the other things Amanda teaches.
Her course isn't anything that will shock you - it's just the truth. That is something intimidating for newbies, especially. It's uncomfortable.
The video tutorial is even better than the PDF.
Why?
Because she goes to pages and shows you what's WRONG and what's RIGHT about the opt in landing pages. Now I know when I did blog analysis for people it was absolutely shocking to me how many had some major bloopers on their site.
Stuff like, "Tiff I haven't had ONE subscriber!" I'd go look and say, "Well, um, where's your opt in form?" They'd reply... "Oh NO! I forgot the form!"
I mean there was a LOT of stuff like this.
Amanda teaches some incredible strategy tips about gaining subscribers. Yes, this video is the meat of the course. Probably mistakes we're ALL making.
But I know that even if I get intimidated trying something new, courage will come later, so I'll do it afraid.
Will you?
Tiff
