I did the lawn again yesterday and whew! It gets easier the more I do it but the neighbor's lawn guys showed up as I was finishing the last 1/4 of my yard and I swear it felt like they were taunting me as the whole group descended on his yard and were finished before I finished mine! LOL I was so hot and tired and I was soooo tempted to run inside and grab my wallet and ask them to finish but I didn't. 

I did laugh though thinking what good advertising that would be. Drive around and pull up as someone is obviously exhausted mowing their lawn and get out and say, "Oh hey! We can handle that for you." I'd soooo fall for that eventually.

I'm Digging In to a New FUN Niche!

Right now I have several non-marketing niches - survival, toys, makeup and some I keep to myself because I use the survival makeup and toys ones as examples to test stuff out for y'all. 

I'm about to get into another one, but I'll be sharing this one with you because it's just going to be super fun. 

It's travel.

I know, I know! A hermit like ME getting into the travel niche - what!? But all it took was me putting myself out there on that FIRST trip to Disney World with my kids and I was hooked. 

I grabbed an awesome available domain name - TravelingInAmerica.com (because being the hermit that I am, I feel more comfortable staying here). Nothing's on the site yet.

Even my son Shawn was like, "Wait! That domain was AVAILABLE? As in dot com?" I said yep. I love it. 

It's going to serve as my travel journal from the planning process through the trip and on to post vacation analysis. I'll be discussing all kinds of trips - road trips, flights, hotels, dining, activities, shopping, paying for it, and a ton more.

I haven't got my blog up and running yet but I plan to start vlogging really soon like today, probably. 

I think I just love planning it all and documenting it and reviewing things and I found watching other people's travel vlogs so personable and interesting. Even small details - I just soaked it in and would binge watch many episodes in a row. 

So that's going to be a good one for me. 

What's cool is that I can share everything with y'all - including the monetization of my idea. And I'm a total newbie starting from scratch basically in terms of the niche. I've been on those 2 trips and some road trips. So I'm definitely not someone able to position myself as the all-knowing expert.

I'll probably do some videos for y'all on building the site, organizing it, creating content, etc. I have no idea how to monetize the niche yet. It'll be FUN figuring it all out.

I am SO excited! I plan on visiting big cities, small towns, road tripping, flying - first class and economy, taking tours, going solo, going with the fam - you name it. 

I feel like a little caterpillar who's completely coming out of her cocoon now and spreading my wings.

And my first trip I'll be vlogging about is to NYC - ACK! It's coming up in just 28 days. 

Thoughts? Am I crazy? LOL!
