Niche Brainstorm & Exclusive Bonus Opportunity, Free Series & Trip Report

Published: Mon, 07/22/19

Honey finally gets to have food today! It was torture eating in front of her and not being able to explain to her why I can't share or feed her. Poor thing. But she seems to be doing much better, so it worked! On another note, I've lost 5 and a half pounds since I got back from vacation, but it could be because I feel guilty eating in front of my dog, so maybe this is a good thing.

Okay today I have some good stuff for you.

Niche Brainstorm & Exclusive Bonus

I did a video showing y'all how big a particular niche is becoming - one that JR Lang launched a PLR sale for today and I made an exclusive bonus for (which means it'll never be sold elsewhere). It's a self help niche called emotional health (and self care goes hand in hand with it).

Watch the video brainstorm here and see what my bonus is:

Trip Report Day 6: Friday the 12th

This is the non business, personal stuff, so if you only want business stuff, it's all listed above.

We packed up and went downstairs to check out and our room was ready so we checked right back in. They gave us free breakfast for that morning at Jakes, too-  since we had the room headache. When you book through the hotel themselves, you get a free coffee or hot drink, free breakfast pastry or sandwich, and free fruit and or yogurt each morning. Nice!

Our new room was room 715 (7th floor) and it was a bit run down. Stained lampshade. Stained couch cushion. Smeared window. The shower flooded out into the bathroom and even seeped into the bedroom slightly. Not good drainage. It was very loud with street noise (which honestly I didn’t mind because it was a neat NY experience). We did have a view, though. Which would be neat later if you watched the news that day.

The rest of the room was great – the bed, etc. I didn’t complain about it because a.) they got us in when we didn’t have a reservation and b.) we were barely in our room anyway. The bed was super comfortable. Shawn had to sleep on a pull out sofa but they made it up for him and he was really comfortable. I’m not a big complainer unless someone’s intentionally rude or things are out of control. They were super nice so I was in return, but I did let them know kindly later about the issues they may want to fix.

We took off and went to the Museum of Illusions. This place is SO fun! Highly recommend this. Got some hilarious pics. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this one. It’s a 2 story small museum full of eye tricks and neat picture opportunities (I’ll show y’all some below). Not overly crowded and everyone was having so much fun!

Then we went to Bubbys (the Highline location) for lunch at the recommendation of my sister. Bubbys is one of the places where we had a menu suitable for us (we don’t do seafood, which is prevalent in NYC). The place is WAY too loud - but otherwise, we liked it. We kind of had to use hand signals like thumbs up or down because otherwise we’d have to shout.

They have the BEST biscuits and homemade jam ever. I got fried chicken with coleslaw. My daughter got a cobb salad. My son got fried chicken and pancakes. Fries on the side for the table. The kids got Ample Hills ice cream inside the place while I ordered my blueberry pie for dessert – very fresh. All of us liked the food.

That night we got ready for Wicked! I bought us 8th row center. And it was WORTH it. It wasn’t tons of laughs like Mean Girls, but it had a few – and a great storyline and the acting!? OMG so professional. Gave me chills. The sets were incredible, too. We got snacks and merch and souvenirs and took a family photo with a good/bad witch background.

It lasted from 8 PM to 10:45. We skipped dinner – too tired and a big day the next day. At this point we were all homesick. We loved the vacation, but you just want your own home, your own bed, your coffee maker, your pets, and your scenery. You start to miss “green” when you’re in the concrete jungle.

Here are some pics of this day. They had a kaleidoscope you could look through with pictures of yourself. Shawn and Scarlett stood on opposite sides of a wall and it mix and matched their faces in the second pic. They had an illusion where it shrunk Shawn and made Scarlett look gigantic as he sat on a chair. Also a table that makes it look like your head is on a platter. And a seat you sit in and deal cards and it looks like you're playing against five other clones of yourself:

In the second pic, you see our Wicked snapshot, where they put hats on us, a pic of Scarlett at Bubbys, the biscuits and jam (yes they were so good I got a picture LOL), a pic of all of us and one of me in the lobby of Wicked with part of the decor.

More to come!

Tiff ;)
