Research Competition, Kids' Book Profits, Free Series & Trip Report Day 4

Published: Fri, 07/19/19

I can't believe it's the weekend already. Time is rushing by. School starts for my daughter in 33 days and I'm not ready for her to be in high school! I did invest in a MacBook Pro for her, so that's all taken care of and she'd better take care of IT through college, too. I've never used Macs - I tried it once and got all confused. But then I prefer my PC to laptops in general anyway.

Here's what I have for you today:

Zero Content Children's Book Empire Course

Alessandro Zamboni has a course out on Kindle content publishing for the kids' market. In it, he analyzes and shows 2 new genres inside children’s books on Amazon, where you can publish zero-content paper books.

The 14 videos of this course will guide you through the genre with tutorials and step-by-step action plans to show you everything you need to know to become zero-content books publishers for kids.

He says that requests for the two genres in this guide are soaring, and these books take no more than one or two days to be ready for printing. And Amazon will sell and ship them - sending back commissions to you.

Inside this video training, you'll learn:

- What this zero-content genre is and how it works
- 2 types of books to start creating
- Where to find exactly what you need, for free
- Where to find the perfect fonts
- How to outsource your paper book cover
- The creation phase for the 2 book types
- And more!

Trip Report Day 4: Wednesday the 10th

This is the non business personal stuff, so if you're business only, you can exit now. Or, keep reading if you're interested.

We started off grabbing a coffee and pastry (chocolate éclair for me) at Bouchon Bakery. Eh. I’d skip it. Food wasn’t great, servers were in a bad mood and seating was limited. On a whim, we decided that even though we had tickets to Empire State Building later that night, we’d go to Top of the Rock during the daytime.

We got VIP Access. LOVED it. Straight to the front of the lines, and the viewing areas were spacious and not crowded at all. It was amazing to see so much. We then tried to go to an NBC studios tour but they were sold out for the day, so we went to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and walked inside, lit a candle and viewed the inside and left before mass started. The architecture is amazing here.

We then went to Rupert Jee’s Hello Deli (the funny deli guy from David Letterman) because my son’s friend said it was good. We sat in the window and ate our Philly cheesesteak, turkey sandwich and grilled cheese. They had great steak fries.

The lady taking the order was hilarious an she knows her regulars. She calls everyone sweetheart and if a man orders a “big ass” (the name of one of their sandwiches), she makes them blush about it. It was hilarious. Rupert cooked our food for us. All of it tasted good.

Then we got in a Lyft to go to our next destination – Trump Tower. It was beautiful inside and neat seeing all the secret service. We saw zero protesters. It was gorgeous and everyone was so nice. Heavily protected there. We went into the store and bought gifts and souvenirs and got some ice cream. Outside was a man dressed in a suit and Trump mask and we took pics with him – he had a huge bowl of cash from people snapping pics with him. And we noticed he sounded a lot like the man himself. Wouldn’t that be funny…? LOL

For dinner we went to Carmines on 44th street. Family style again and it was SO delish! We got the garlic toast with cheese as an appetizer and penne pasta with garlic and oil. Our side was broccoli and dessert was tiramisu. Faint. So good! We didn’t take any back to the hotel but if you wanted to, you’d have a TON left over! Noisy place, but good experience, and great service.

After that we went to the Empire State Building for our night viewing. DISASTER! We had VIP again but that didn’t even make much of a difference. Once you get to the top, it’s PACKED like sardines and people camp out in one spot. They don’t look and move on so others can see. They stay planted. I don’t understand that mentality! It was hot and packed and miserable.

BIG waste of money and my Mr. Right wasn’t waiting for me – no Tom Hanks. No Warren Beatty. No Cary Grant like in Sleepless in Seattle or An Affair to Remember. LOL - Just a bunch of sweaty tourists. We got out of there quickly. So glad I also went to TOTR. Wish I’d gone back at night, too.

More to come!

Tiff ;)
