Niche Holiday Surge Time (My Experience Plus What's New and an Exclusive Bonus)

Two things for you today - a brainstorm session w/bonus and a blog post below that.

Niche Holiday Surge

Well school is about to start next week - many kids are already in it. And that means it's time for Fall to come and the holidays to kick into gear. I'm one of those people who goes a bit nutty with it all, decorating way too soon and leaving them up far too long.

This is the time of year when consumers spent a LOT. On gifts, meals, decorations and more.

First up is Halloween. I've done quite a bit in various holiday niches with many different slants. I've written about how to earn holiday cash, which costumes to buy, party planning tips and more.

I've often told y'all about one of my most lucrative holiday items. I had a lens on Squidoo about costumes and in it, I'd mentioned an "infant baby snail costume."

It was this one in particular:

So what happened was, I bought a domain - something like infantbabysnailcostume.com (I forget what it was because I flipped it long ago but it was a ridiculous domain name lol). And i made a LOT of money. While keyword stats showed nobody was searching for it, somebody was - or it gained traction somehow.

But now I know that a broader site would be a better investment. BUT, don't discount things like creating domains like InfantAnimalCostumes.com (yes it's available). While Baby is taken, Infant is available. Always check on synonyms.

Consumers spend an obscene amount on costumes. I myself have 3 kids and back when they were all dressing up, I bought them THREE each. Crazy, right? I'd buy one for school, one for trick or treating, and one just because - for fun to dress up at home. And costumes are anywhere from $29.99 to $60 for kids usually. This is in addition to candy, decor, and all sorts of stuff.

If you want to get into this niche, Gaz Cooper created a new bundle of content and I created an exclusive bonus for it.

In Gaz's bundle, you get: My Exclusive Bonus (which means it won't be sold anywhere else or added to my store) includes:

10 costume articles (they're not specific reviews of one or two costumes, but an overview of what types of costumes are available for these topics - that way, the articles are versatile and you can promote ANY costume for that topic on ANY site, not just Amazon but places on Share-a-Sale, etc.

The articles are from popular 2019 movie topics as follows:

1. Stranger Things Costumes - 532 words
2. Toy Story 4 Costumes - 521 words
3. Disney Descendants Costumes - 489 words
4. Spiderman Costumes - 491 words
5. Wonder Woman Costumes - 439 words
6. DC Comics Costumes - 476 words
7. Batman Costumes - 496 words
8. Black Panther Costumes - 492 words
9. Incredibles Costumes - 499 words
10. IT Chapter Two Costumes - 508 words

By the way, I'm also working on an additional 15 articles on similar movies from 2019, but those will be sold on my store, so watch for that if you want to pick up more.

I also found out that Gaz has an upgrade available. It includes: What I personally would do is created a site for all things Halloween like HalloweenDecorAndCostumes.com (available). And I'd have categories for costumes for girls, for boys, for men, for women, for pets, for couples, for groups, and so on. Every year I'd update it according to what movies or shows came out. Like Toy Story 4, Stranger Things 3, etc.

Look for release dates on Netflix and just Google 2019 movies. Or, get a jump start and google the following year. Write broad costume articles on them and get them ranking and then go back in and link to the costumes as the become available (AND link to the search results pages on Amazon for things like "batman costumes" in those articles so they land on a page showcasing several of them.

If I type 2020 movies into Google, I see that Top Gun Maverick is coming out (swoon!), Black Widow, a new Minions movie, a Ghostbusters horror movie (what!?), Bill and Ted Face the Music, a Spongebob movie, and more. All things you can write about early on and have pages positioned for search results and a flood of Fall sales.
