Love Consumer Concepts! 1% Better, Free Series 5, Reminders and Pathetic Stuff

Published: Tue, 08/06/19

Well with just over 2 weeks out from the school schedule, it's time for me to start going to bed early and waking up early. I despise it. But it has to happen. I know it'll be good for me. And I'm already eager for fall and decorations and stuff. And then when that comes, I'll be ready for summer again. LOL! Never satisfied.

Okay here's what I have for you today:

#1 - Love It When a Concept Relates to Me as a Consumer

So y'all know I've been traveling a lot lately and even getting out more and doing things. One thing I always do is plan heavily. And I use social media to decide where we go and what we do.

I especially love finding out about restaurants - the service, the ambiance, the food, choices, everything. And I often feel bad because some places might have mixed reviews. I'm on the fence because some people say they loved it and some say they hated it.

What I learned is that there are competitors who go around intentionally tanking their competition's online reputation. How sad. But you KNOW this happens. And even if it's genuinely reviews from consumers, what sucks for that place is that it's hard for them to climb out of that hole even if they realize they have a problem and make corrections.

I remember in particular  on our Disney trip there was a place everyone was split on - like 50/50. It was called Coral Reef in Epcot. It looked cool but I was worried that so many hated it. I took a chance (I rarely do) and we went and it was hands down the best place of our trip. Such good service we took pictures with our waiter - he celebrated my son's engagement with us, gave us champagne, etc. Food was to die for.

What I came to find out later was that a new chef had been brought in, so now the poor place has to slowly crawl out from a pile of bad reviews. And when we went to NYC recently, online reputation was THE way I planned every single day there.

When I saw this product called Restaurant Marketing Confidential by a guy named Jim Mack, I KNEW it could be something many of you will succeed with. It's all about helping restaurants dig out of that social pit of a bad reputation. Now I didn't know Jim very well. So I went and looked at stats for his products - found almost nonexistent refund rate and lots of sales (good sign). He teaches several courses for a variety of offline industries affected by online issues.

You can see what I'm talking about here:

I approached Jim and he gave me access to the course so I could see what it was all about. I went through the course. He has a pleasant voice - and the course has bite sized pieces so you're not facing a 300-hour video all at once like some people do. LOL!

He has all kinds of great info in here - not only where to find clients who need reputation help, but also help with sales training on how to approach prospects and sell the service and close the deal. This is something so many places will be interested in.

The BEST thing about this is you're sticking PROOF of their poor reputation right in their face so they can't lie and say "Oh I don't need this." They know, you know and everybody knows they need it. I think honestly, to me, the ones with like a 3.8 - on the cusp of an acceptable 4 rating - would be the best ones to target. I wouldn't chance it on a 3 anything, but often when you look at the reviews, they're something petty. Doesn't matter - the consumer sees a 3.whatever and scrolls on by.

He teaches you exactly how to find the best places to go after. And one of the BEST parts was about scaling your business. It starts off with a small service and then when you gain trust, you upsell and it's an incredible strategy! There's some MASSIVE recurring income built in here. And he shows you how to go higher and higher. This is stuff we, as marketers, might find simple but an offline business owner would be absolutely clueless about.

Don't worry - he teaches you about fulfilling the services, too (including outsourcing if you want to get the sale and then be hands off!). REALLY great course. Oh! And he has a section just for templates and worksheets and contracts you can use. Nice!

#2 - 1% Better Every Day PLR

My son Dylan, the personal trainer, is BIG on making small, seemingly insignificant, but powerful changes in life. It's always worked for him and he's guided me in doing it a few times and it's made a lasting impression on me.

The Japanese call this kind of incremental improvement "Kaizen." It's routinely touted in circles of goal setting and personal development. There are different kinds of Kaizen, too. Not a one size fits all thing.

Aurelius Tjin is having a sale (and it's on earlybird pricing for the first 2 hours) for four days only on this very topic and it's called:

1% Better Every Day - How Small and Simple Actions Every Day Lead To Big Results

It’s about using the Kaizen approach to self improvement. I LOVE this concept because it's not overwhelming and we all know, people who are struggling sure don't need a stringent, all at once overhaul being dumped on them. They need to be capable of making 1% changes daily to achieve greatness.

Here's what's covered in this course: This is an entire biz in a box and it includes: Check it out - for the first 2 hours you save a couple extra dollars from the launch price and then it'll be on launch price for 4 days before going to full price here:

#5 - Pathetic Stuff

Something's irking me so I wanted to just say it. A friend of mine recently found out some other PLR person was ripping off his own launch.

The thief had even forgotten to remove my friend's name off the sales copy he stole. What a total loser to do this! I ABHOR thieves.

Anyway, that's not even the most pathetic thing to me. The MOST pathetic thing was when another marketer came along and scolded someone discussing this issue of theft.

The marketer said some like, "This guy is now hustling and struggling and despite all the drama, if he carries on, he'll grow big. We are not helping him. Let's think twice before calling someone out. I see people laughing at him and that man will never forget the pain."

WHAT!? He STOLE someone else's hard work. The marketer said this person should have reached out to him instead to help him.

I'm flabbergasted.

Yeah, I'm going to spend my time lifting up a rotten person instead of helping ethical, honorable people succeed.

I. Don't. THINK. So!

Not everyone deserves help. Some people deserve a public shaming and to be run out of the industry. Don't coddle bad eggs.

Okay I'm off to get more work done! Have a good one!

Tiff ;)
