Took an Interesting Course Yesterday, Last 2 Days - and More!
Published: Sun, 09/15/19
I'm having a very relaxing day today. Working, of course, but it's a day where I clean house and that's always cathartic because it gets me ready for the week ahead. I need to order some Yankee Candles. I LOVE those! I want to get the Autumn Wreath or Autumn Leaves one to start.
I'm also making a decision on what I want to cook for my son and his wife for when they return. I figure his little brother, (my son, Shawn) who is house sitting, will probably empty the fridge being a 20-year old college student, so I'm going to do two things: Cook their favorite meals so they come home and can just relax and I bought a set of Googly Eyes that I'm going to put on every item inside the fridge without telling them. LOL!
Before I get started I have to say a BIG thank you to Huw Hughes. He not only created the product package graphics for me but he also developed 12 ecovers for my upcoming 2019 Christmas PLR launch upsell page to include in the package. His own site is located at https://nitroplr.com and he does great full biz in a box packages! What an amazing guy. So kind.
Here's what I have for you today:
#1 - I Zoned Out in a Good Way with This Product
I got asked to review a product and when I got a summary about it, I thought it sounded pretty cool. So I said I'd take a look. What happened when I started going through it was funny.First, I thought it was unique and interesting. But it's a form of dropshipping, which I used to do (in the wedding favor niche, which was profitable) but I'm no longer interested in.
BUT...then as I was going through the course (because many of my subscribers ARE into dropshipping and I've made money on it before), I started seeing all new possibilities for this idea and strategy in the FICTION niche! And PLR! And Info products!
WHAT!?
Listen, if you're NOT the kind of person who can take an idea and apply it to a whole new business model, then don't try it! I am always doing this and love it - sets you apart. But I was watching this case study example unfold and thinking of all the ways I could build a list of loyal readers as an author. You could do this with info products, too. But with fiction, I'm specifically thinking of those launch parties I see hosted on Facebook. They're so popular. The fans are rabid. And it's a great way to "get known."
But this course is NOT specifically about fiction. I totally saw the connection in my mind. Just want to emphasize that.
It was a neat course. Two guys teach it - Matt Rhodes and Keith Dougherty. Get specifics about it here while it's under ten bucks:

So basically, the concept is a dropshipped giveaway event that has this series of profit pulling pages once they opt into the event. (I know readers LOVE this kind of stuff but I loved the tangible career example they show in the videos).
The example they use is a super cheap product. You could do this with so many things - including free digital products. Oh man, as I'm writing this, I'm even seeing a way to build a PLR buyer's list with this.
But the way they're teaching it is through tangible dropshipping. This was definitely one I enjoyed taking for lots of promotion tidbit ideas. Even though I'm not at all into dropshipping, I learned a lot.
And it's UNDER $10 during the launch so that's awesome. Also, as an FYI - listening to them was interesting. I'm SO picky about video and audio. They move right along, and get specific about what they do with a specific non marketing niche. I enjoyed the teaching style - it was over the shoulder.
This is not a complex strategy. That's what I liked about it. And it's probably a really good list builder.
#2 - Lazy Affiliate Method By Kevin Fahey
I looked into Kevin Fahey's latest and I skipped around a few of the videos (some I already know). I don't have time to fully dig into it because I'm in the middle of his huge bootcamp training right now.But it's basically a look at how to set up an affiliate funnel of promos and he uses the IM Checklists as an example. He's always a good teacher. I enjoy learning from him.
This course is a 16-part video training series showing you how to set up everything and start generating leads and affiliate sales. I dislike the word Lazy in any product because even following along, I like to work. LOL! But the good thing about it is the way he shows it being set up, it's a "set it up once and let it operate" type of system, so you're not having to repeatedly do the same work. I think Automated Affiliate would be a better name for it.
The sale is on for 3 days here and Kevin's products are always solid:

#3 - My Sale Is Ending Soon
Okay in 2 days, at the end of the day on Tuesday, I'm bumping the price of my new PLR up to full price of $1 a page instead of a $0.50 per page price point. The topic is Total Self Care and you can use it on any niche site that involves stress - like weight loss, finances, parenting, aging, survival, and so much more.
So what I suggest is that you use the articles on your blog and then if you get the upgrade option, you can:
- Queue up the product reviews on your blog, too
- Set up a lead magnet page with the free opt in report
- Queue up the pre-sale email series
- Use the sales copy to set up the info product eBook for sale
- Fill the eBook with links to other parts of your site or other products
- Queue up the post-sale email series
- Use the graphic ecovers to promote the lead magnet and eBook
OR, if you already have a site and your own products, you can just get the articles on the front end for more fresh content. Get it while it's on sale here:

#4 - Upcoming Week
Today I plan on queuing up some emails and reviewing products so that I can spend my entire week working on that free series and my upcoming Christmas PLR launch. That'll give me a full week to make progress on the series. I have it all mapped out but I've been so busy and on the go I haven't had time to get much done with it.I told Scarlett I'm not going anywhere this week - need a short break to be productive, LOL
Tiff ;)
P.S. Prefer a weekly digest?
